Kentucky’s 225th Anniversary Commission

The Kentucky 225th Anniversary Commission was created by an act of the legislature of Kentucky and is administered by the Tourism, Arts and Heritage Cabinet. The commission is formed of representatives from various state agencies, local partners and volunteers whose mission is “to celebrate Kentucky’s 225th anniversary of statehood through activities, programs, and events throughout the Commonwealth”.

Commission members are:

  • Members of the Kentucky House of Representative
  • Members of the Kentucky Senate
  • The Lieutenant Governor
  • Secretary of the Tourism, Arts and Heritage Cabinet
  • Secretary of the Education and Workforce Development Cabinet

Partner Agencies and Organizations are:

  • The Kentucky Department of Tourism
  • The Kentucky Historical Society
  • The Kentucky Heritage Council
  • The Kentucky Arts Council
  • The Kentucky Education Association
  • The Kentucky Educational Television Network (KET)
  • The Kentucky Chamber of Commerce
  • The Kentucky Travel Industry Association
